The Mexican has 36 points on the board after two races and is last season’s silver medalist. The last time he raced on this track, he registered the fast lap 1:30:235 despite finishing in 5th position. He is a driver well equipped to win the race if Max were to have an off day. As the horse racing punters would say, he is the best outsider.

Lewis Hamilton has over 190 podiums in his career, that is more than anyone on this season grid and ahead of legends like Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Ayrton Senna. The odds on him being on the podium in Australia are 9/4. This would be the first time he managed to get on the podium with the silver arrow this season. The last two races were very disappointing for the Ferrari bound driver. finishing in 7th and 9th respectively. He is last podium finish came in Mexico last season on the 29th of October 2023

The driver who came back to life last season is Fernando Alonso. By this point of the season last year, he had back-to-back podium finishes to his name. an impressive run that he extended when he finished third in Australia. However, he unfortunately could not carry this impressive form into the 2024 season, finishing his first two races outside of the podium spots. Can Aston Martin and Alonso come back to take a podium spot from Ferrari?

Speaking about Ferrari, Charles Leclerc had an impressive run last time out to finish ahead of McLaren and Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin. He clinched third place after a fourth-place finish in Bahrain behind teammate Carlos Sainz. Charles finished the 2023 season in superb form, finishing second in Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi to wrap up a season that produced 6 podiums for the driver. A drop from the 11 podiums and 3 wins he managed to get in the 2022 season where he walked away with the season’s silver medal. With 1 podium already secured this season.
