France vs Luxembourg Prediction: Barcola can find the net
One of the favourites to win Euro 2024, and the World Cup finalists from 2022 France are in action on Wednesday night as they host Luxembourg. This should be relatively straightforward for the 2018 world champions, and Didier Deschamps may choose to test his fringe players ahead of their first Euro 2024 match.

France vs Luxembourg Betting Tips
Team News
N’Golo Kante is the surprise name in this French squad, and he has actually profited, in more ways than one, from his move to Al-Ittihad. He’s had an injury-free season and is likely to play some part for France this summer, but unfortunately Lucas Hernandez will miss out again, with the same knee issue that ended his World Cup early 18 months ago.
Ferland Mendy and Eduardo Camavinga will be rested after their Champions League final win while Aurelin Tchouameni will be fit for the Euros having missed Real Madrid’s triumph.
That Real Madrid trio will be more than familiar with Luxembourg’s Sebastien Thill, the Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder who scored a winner against Los Blancos in the UCL back in 2021. Laurent Jans will captain his country again, and will become his nation’s highest male appearance maker with 103 caps.
France vs Luxembourg Match Odds
France are 3/100 to win this game, while Luxembourg are priced at 39/1. A draw can be backed at 11/1, over 2.5 goals is 11/50 and over 4.5 goals is 32/25.
France -3.5 handicap @ 99/100
Now Luxembourg have won three of their last four games and have made huge leaps of progress over the last two years, but I think France are going to put them to the sword here. Deschamps is likely to play his second string here, but even so, France have the best squad depth in world football and these players will be desperate to prove themselves ahead of the Euros.
The best value for me lies in backing them to win by four goals, with a -3.5 handicap at 99/100. I think with the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Thuram, Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola will all be given a chance here, and they should be able to tear Luxembourg apart.
Bradley Barcola to score anytime @ 31/20
The only uncapped member in the France squad, Barcola has had a sensational breakthrough season at PSG. He’s got nine goals in 42 games since breaking into the team this season, and now he is likely to be given his first international cap against Luxembourg.
I can see him really impressing in a game that France are likely to dominate, and I think the home side are likely to score four or five goals. I think the value here lies not in backing Kylian Mbappe or Antoine Griezmann to score, but in going for one of the fringe forwards. Barcola tickles my fancy here, and I think he will find the net on Wednesday night.
