DSTV Premiership strugglers take on the high-flying University of Pretoria who have been making waves both in the championship and in the Nedbank Cup. It comes as no surprise that this match has come with a lot of controversy as to who will walk away winners on Wednesday evening, but one thing is for sure. The DSTV Premiership side is going to have to dig deep if they are to walk away from this one as winners.

Here are markets to consider adding to your bet slip...

Nedbank Cup Round of 16 Predictions

  • 3 Way – University of Pretoria 7/5
  • 3 Way – AmaZulu 11/5
  • 3 Way – Milford FC 14/1
  • 3 Way – Supersport United 7/10

3 Way – University of Pretoria 7/5

It is exceedingly rare for a lower division side to enter a Nedbank cup match as favorites, ahead of their DSTV Premiership opponents. However, in this case, University of Pretoria have no losses in their last 12 matches. Their premiership opponents have not been able to secure a win in their last three outings.

3 Way – AmaZulu 11/5

Sekhukhune United has found it difficult to score goals against AmaZulu, failing to do so in their last 4 encounters. However, AmaZulu has struggled in recent times. They have not won a single game in their last 3 matches in a row. Besides the loss to Mamelodi Sundowns, they have managed to avoid a defeat. Getting back-to-back draws against Swallows and Supersport United. Skhukhune United are on a run of 8 games without a loss, they are also very capable of living up to their billing.

3 Way – Milford FC 14/1

Stellebbosch United are odds on favourites to win this match. However, Milford FC are slowly becoming this season’s Nedbank Cup wild card. They Knocked Kaizer Chiefs out in the last round and look capable of pulling another mission in possible. If they were to do so, the odds of winning this match are 14/1.

Milford FC have not won a match since they knocked out DSTV Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs. Stellenbosch has also been struggling for consistency after their last Nedbank cup fixture. Two draws and one win does not scream a team on form. Expect the unexpected when these two teams go head-to-head.

3 Way – Supersport United 7/10

Supersport United will be heading into this encounter fresh out of the Pretoria derby against Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership. With no hope of winning the DSTV Premiership title. Their focus will be on advancing in this tournament if they have any hope of lifting silverware this season.
