Nedbank Cup Prediction: Sundowns and Orlando Pirates still in it
In my previous article on this round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup, we covered the Wednesday to Thursday kick offs. Thursday to Friday has come big teams in action including Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Here are markets to consider adding to your bet slip...
Nedbank Cup Round of 16 Betting Tips
3 Way – Chippa United 11/50
Chippa United are sitting just outside of the relegation spots in the DSTV Premiership. They have lost their last match to Mamelodi Sundowns. Before that encounter with the Tshwane Giants. They had managed to have a run of impressive results including a 3-0 win over Richards Bay FC. That loss to Sundowns ended a 4 game unbeaten streak for Chippa. Their opponents the Ravens made it to this stage after beating Spain Fc on penalties last month.
3 Ways – Orlando Pirates 1/10
Manchester United will be without Rasmus Hojlund who is out with a muscle strain, he is expected back in early December. His absence presents an opportunity for Anthony Martial to back the center forwards role. The Odds on Martial being an any time goals scorer in this game sit at 41/20. Good odds on a player who scored the last time out at Goodison park.
3 Way – Ts Galaxy 4/25
TS Galaxy have only one trophy in their trophy cabinet. That trophy came in the Nedbank Cup when they faced Kaizer Chiefs in the final and broke Khosi hearts and the legend of TS Galaxy began. Since that triumph they have failed to navigate beyond the round of 16 in their last three attempts. This time around the face D’General FC a team from the championship that they will be hoping to get an easy win and progress to the next round.
3 Way – Mamelodi Sundowns 3/50
Maritzburg United face South Africa’s best footballing side. Rhulani Mokoena and his chargers are fresh from a league draw against their cross-town rivals Supersport United. They have now gone 13 games without a loss and 7 games in a row as the first team on the score sheet. Maritzburg United have gone 5 games without a loss. however, they also have not been able to keep a clean sheet in their last 14 meeting with Mamelodi Sundowns.
