The Netherlands thumped Romania 3-0 in the last 16, while Turkiye pulled off the shock of the round as they beat Austria 2-1 to set up this mouth-watering quarter-final clash. Given either misfiring England or Switzerland await in the final four, these two will fancy their chances of going all the way to the final.

Below you can find my Netherlands vs Turkiye prediction, for what should be an enthralling Euro 2024 quarter-final.

Netherlands vs Turkiye Betting Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 39/50
  • Turkiye to win @ 24/5

Team News

Steven Bergwijn was thrown into the tournament for his first start by Ronald Koeman, but he was dragged off at half-time. His replacement Donyell Malen came off the bench and scored twice, so is almost certain to come back into the team in the only change. The rest of the team is stable, with Cody Gakpo impressing again from the left wing.

Meanwhile, Turkiye will have influential captain Hakan Calhanoglu and defender Samet Akaydin available for selection after they served suspensions in that win over Austria. You’d expect them to come back in, despite Turkiye putting in their best performance of the summer without them. Orkun Kokcu and Ismail Yuksek are suspended and Montella will need to replace them in the XI.

Netherlands predicted XI: Verbruggen; Dumfries, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Aké; Schouten, Simons, Reijnders; Malen, Depay, Gakpo

Turkiye predicted XI: Günok; Müldür, Bardakcı, Demiral, Kadıoğlu; Akaydin, Ayhan; Yılmaz, Calhanoglu, Yıldız, Güler

Netherlands vs Turkiye Odds

Netherlands are the clear favouites here, priced at 59/100 to win in 90 minutes. Meanwhile, Turkiye are 24/5, a draw is 3/1 and over 2.5 goals is 39/50.

Over 2.5 goals @ 39/50

Turkiye’s games at Euro 2024 have been absolute thrillers. They love to attack, and in front of a raucous crowd, they will go all out for the win yet again. They seem to thrive in chaos, and Arda Guler has been one of the tournament’s star forwards so far.

I think there will be plenty of goals in this one, with the Netherlands also looking good going forward. They scored twice against Austria and three times against Romania, with Cody Gakpo in particular causing huge problems from the left. These two should produce a cracking quarter-final on Saturday night, with plenty of goals.

Turkiye to win @ 24/5

I think this will be a close encounter, and in truth it is tough to predict a winner, but I can tell you one thing. I think Turkiye have been overpriced based on what we have seen so far, so I’m happy to chase the value and pick them to win.

The Netherlands were poor throughout the group stage, and although they looked strong against Romania, Turkiye definitely overcame tougher opposition at that stage. I think they will fancy their chances against the Netherlands and the crowd is going to play a massive part yet again.
