Real Madrid vs Real Valladolid Prediction: Mbappe to open account
Real Madrid will resume their quest to defend their La Liga title this weekend as they face Real Valladolid on Sunday afternoon. They dropped points at Mallorca on the opening weekend, and have suffered another blow this week as Jude Bellingham has picked up an injury.
Meanwhile, Real Valladolid got off to a winning start as they beat Espanyol by one goal to nil, as Raul Moro scored the only goal of the game. Below you can find my Real Madrid vs Real Valladolid prediction, featuring team news and betting tips.
Real Madrid vs Real Valladolid Betting Tips
Team News
Jude Bellingham will be out until after the internatiaonl break as he has a thin plantar muscle injury that will keep him sidelined for a month. Meanwhile, Jesús Vallejo is also on his way back from injury and Ancelotti ruled out going back into the market for another centre-back, with Aurelin Tchouameni also an option to fill-in at the back. Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo should make up the front three as Ancelotti looks to find some chemistry between the trio.
Meanwhile, Real Valladolid will likely keep with the same XI that succeeded on the opening weekend, with Moroccon international Selim Amallah likely to start in midfield alongside Kike Pérez. Moro should start on the left after his goal, with Mamadou Sylla up top on his own.
Real Madrid vs Real Valladolid Odds
Real Madrid are the favourites to win this game, priced at 9/50 to do so, while Real Valladolid are a whopping 13/1 to take the points. A draw can be backed at 32/5, over 2.5 goals is 39/100 and BTTS is 51/50.
Home and over 2.5 goals @ 49/100
Real Madrid are exceptionally likely to win this game as you can see from the odds, and on their return to the Bernabeu, I’m expecting big things. The home fans will be incredibly excited to see what Mbappe can do after his summer transfer (more on him shortly), but I do think that the home side will come out victorious in this one.
I also believe that there will be over 2.5 goals in this game, based on the attacking quality on show. Vinicius Jr is a magician, and even without Belingham, Real Madrid should have enough class to take Real Valladolid apart. I’m expecting a handsome home win in this one.
Kylian Mbappe first goalscorer @ 51/20
Ah why not? Mbappe is going to be desperate to make a big impression at the Bernabeu after a disappointing start last weekend. He is nominally going to play as the central striker it appears, with Vinicius on the left and Rodrygo on the right.
Although he is better from the left I believe, there will be a level of fluidity to that front three and Ancelotti will be desperate to get the best out of his new Galactico. Mbappe also played centrally for France this summer and it feels like that perhaps is where his future lies, especially when you consider Vinicius is unlikely to be moved out of this team. Anyway, I’m backing him to get off to a flyer in front of the Bernabeu faithful, but scoring the first goal of the game.
