uThisha's Predictions (Book-a-Bet 981351)

  • 3 Way - Manchester City 21/100
  • 3 Way - Bayern Munich 37/25
  • Both Teams to score - Yes 31/50
  • 3 Way - Arsenal Fc 14/25
  • 3 Way - Manchester United 21/10

3 Way - Manchester City 21/100

Second in the league and with a game in hand, Manchester City are in hot pursuit of this season's Premier League title. Arsenal did them a favour last week when they took points off Liverpool FC. However, Pep Guardiola's men are in outstanding form. They have nine wins in a row, no losses in their last twelve games and, to add insult to injury, they have not lost to Everton FC in their last 14 meetings. uThisha is convinced that this is enough to write Everton FC off and give Manchester City the win. The odds on Manchester City walking away with all three points on Saturday are set at 21/100.

3 Way - Bayern Munich 37/25

The match the entire footballing world has been waiting for. Xabi Alonso's invincibles vs Thomas Tuchel's goal machine. Bayern Munich have not lost the league title since Jurgen Klopp clinched it with Dortmund in the 2011/2012 season of the Bundesliga. Since then, Bayern have been flawless, lifting the trophy 11 seasons in a row. Turning the Bundesliga into a farmers league and occasionally taking their dominant form into the continent and winning the UEFA Champions League. This was all regular programming until Xabi Alonso took up his first managerial role with Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso's men are unbeaten in 30 games in all competitions after they managed to reach the semi finals of the DFB Pokal on Tuesday the 6th of February 2024. In the league they have been untouchable - 20 games played, 16 won, 4 draws, 0 losses, 52 goals scored, and 14 conceded. This is enough to put them two points clear of Bayern Munich in second. Will it be enough? That is what will be answered in this match up on Saturday.

The last time these two teams met, it ended in a 2 all draw on match day 4 at the Allianz Arena in Munich. This was the first and only meeting between the two coaches. A factor that cannot be ignored is that both teams are missing notable players. Leverkusen are without the services of goal machine Victor Okoh Boniface who is injured. Bayern have a long list of of absentees, including Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Alphonso Davies. They still however have the services of record breaking goal scorer Harry Kane who is having the season of his life. He has 28 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions. In the league he has 24 goals and 5 assists in 20 appearances. If Leverkusen are going to win this match, they will have to find a way to keep Harry Kane from scoring.

Both Teams to score - Yes 31/50

David vs Goliath is an understatement! We are talking about a team that was promoted to La Liga in 2017 and is now challenging Real Madrid for the La Liga title. It is no coincidence though, because the City group acquired the team in 2017 and began building the well oiled machine we see on our TV screens right now. Many have compared this team to Leicester's miracle side that won the Premier League against all the odds. However, what makes this story so different is the backing Girona has through the City Group. Manchester City is just the tip of the iceberg, the City Group own a number of teams in different territories around the world. They have Man City in the UK, New York City in the USA, Melbourne City in Australia, Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan, Girona in Spain and Parlemo in Italy to name a few. It is no surprise that Girona is where they are.

Girona has the best offence in the league, scoring 52 goals in 23 matches. Defensively they have been disappointing, with 25 goals conceded. When compared to their opponent, Real Madrid, who have conceded 15 goals and scored 48. You can see the gulf in class. Real Madrid have the second best attack in the league and the best defence in the league that is a Hallmark of champions. If Girona are going to challenge for the league, they will need to win matches of this magnitude especially because theses two teams are only separated by two points at the top of the league.

3 Way - Arsenal Fc 14/25

West Ham United were outplayed, out performed and out witted by Erik Ten Hag's Manchester United last weekend. This weekend they face a Premier League title contender in Arsenal. The Gunners come into this game on a high after taking points off league leaders Liverpool FC. Mikel Arteta will want to follow that win up with another three points for his side. Especially with the UEFA Champions League round of 16 is on the horizon. West Ham have conceded in each of their last 5 matches while Arsenal are on a 3 game winning streak.  Form favours The Gunners and if they are to keep their dreams of winning a Premier League title alive, only a win will do.

3 Way - Manchester United 21/10

Villa Park plays host to this epic show down between two sides who have bounced in and out of the top four this season on multiple occasions. Win probability favours Aston Villa giving them a 44% chance of walking away with all three points. Manchester United have a 31% chance of winning this match and a 25% chance of this game ending in a draw. United are currently sitting outside the UEFA Champions League spots and a win for them will bring them closer to qualification for next season. However, Aston Villa will be fighting to protect their spot in the top 4 where United want to be. It is going to be a nail bitting affair when these two teams clash at villa park.
