It is Classic Day in Turffontein. 7 Feature races have been carded and 3 are grade 1 races. Horse Racing punters can look forward to over 4 hours of scheduled racing on Saturday.

here are the final fields for the grade 1 races...

SA Fillies Classic (final field) (14:00 to 14:30) Boosted prices.

last year's edition of the SA Fillies Classic saw BLESS MY STARS cross the finish line in first ahead of GIMMETHEGREENLIGHT, STAR EXPRESS & SILVANO. Smanga Khumalo was the jockey that Pushed BLESS MY STARS in the last few furlongs to get the win. This victory would be Sean Tarry's second win in a row in this prestigious race. GIMME A NOTHER is the horse most punters will be looking to place their bets on. This runner has won all five career starts with little difficulty. With a Grade 3 and Grade 2 victory under her belt, she is the hard to ignore when ever she is part of the final field

SA Classic (final field) race 7 Favourite VS the Field

Race 7 is our Favourite vs the Field Race. The Favourite SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT one of the best three year olds in South Africa at the moment. Of the 10 runners running against SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT, 7 of them have already lost to SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT Guineas and will be seen to not to pose a challenge in the Classic. Gavin Lerena will be hoping to make it back to back wins when he takes this champions horse out on Saturday.

Horse Chestnut Stakes (final field) race 8 (11:00 to 12:00) Boosted hour.

Jumping at 16:10 the Horse Chestnut Stakes is a Frade 1 weight for age race ran over 1600m. PRINCESS CALLA will be on a lot of punters lips before the race jumps as the favourite to win this race. However, this field features plenty of seasoned champions like PUERTO MANZANO, COSMIC HIGHWAY, MK'S PRIDE, SAFE PASSAGE, and SON OF RAJ. The runners expected to give PRINCESS CALLA a through time winning this race are MAIN DEFENDER, MELECH, DAVE THE KING and SUGAR MOUNTAIN. Last year's edition of this prestigious race was won by Candice Bass-Robinson's TRIP OF FORTUNE, can she pick up another win with SUGAR MOUNTAIN this year?
