Arsenal vs Everton Prediction: Gunners may struggle on final day

It feels as though the writing is already on the wall for Arsenal. Despite their best efforts, it looks like Manchester City will win their fourth consecutive Premier League title after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in midweek. However, hope is not completely dead, and the Gunners still have an outside chance of success on the final day. They need to win and hope Man City drop points at home to West Ham.

Even a draw at the Etihad would be enough for Arsenal, as long as they get the job done against Everton. Below you can find my Arsenal vs Everton Prediction & Tips as we head into the final match of the season.

Team News

There’s the potential that long-term absentee Jurrien Timber could return to the squad for the final day of the season, but other than that - Mikel Arteta has zero injury issues to worry about. Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus could provide something different from the bench, as Leandro Troassard looks to continue his fine end to the campaign.

Meanwhile Everton are without Vitalii Mykolenko, Dele Alli and Nathan Patterson, while Jack Harrison is also set to miss this one. Andre Gomes could potentially return from his facial injury but Sean Dyche may choose to name an unchanged team from the one that edged past Sheffield United last weekend.

Arsenal vs Everton Match Odds

Arsenal are the clear favourites for this one, priced at 9/50 to win this game. Everton are the outsiders at 13/1, while a draw can be backed at 33/5. If you fancy goals, over 2.5 is 9/25 and BTTS is 93/100.

Under 3.5 goals @ 87/100

I think this is a great price for a likely outcome. Arsenal have the best defence in the Premier League and have only conceded 28 goals from 37 league matches so far this term. They are rock-solid at the back, yet Everton are also stubborn in defence. David Raya and Jordan Pickford have kept the most clean sheets in the league this term, and Sean Dyche knows how to set his side up to get a result.

They won’t turn up and roll over here, and I actually think there will be fewer than 2.5 goals at the Emirates on Sunday. However, I will play things safe and back under 3.5 goals at  87/100, for what should be a tense encounter in north London.

Draw @ 33/5

I’m on the hunt for value, and I think I have found it. Everton’s finish to the season has been nothing short of impressive, and they’ve now won four of their last five matches. They’ve only lost one of their final eight games of the season and although Arsenal away is a tough fixture, they have also beaten Liverpool during this run.

It seems with a solid defence, Everton are starting to get results and I wonder what the atmosphere will be like at the Emirates, especially if Man City go ahead early on. It may be a sad affair, and even though Arsenal need to win this one, I don’t think they will. Everton are in great form at the moment and have a well-organised back four, while all the pressure will be on Arsenal’s shoulders.

I think we could see a draw here, as City canter to another league title.
