Brighton vs Manchester United Prediction: Goals expected at the AMEX
Both Brighton and Manchester United got off to winning starts in the Premier League last weekend. The Seagulls, led by new boss Fabian Hürzeler, secured a fantastic 3-0 win at Everton, while Manchester United came through their curtain-raiser with Fulham 1-0. Joshua Zirkzee scored the only goal of that game to secure all three points as Erik ten Hag got off to a winning start in 2024/25.

Brighton vs Manchester United Betting Tips
Team News
Solly March remains out for the hosts, while Pervis Estupinan, Bart Verbruggen, Evan Ferguson, Tariq Lamptey and Julio Enciso all didn’t feature against Everton. Hurzeler is likely to name an unchanged team given the strength of that performance.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are out for Manchester United which means Diogo Dalot is likely to fill-in at left-back again. Noussair Mazraoui impressed on his debut at right-back, while fellow new arrival Matthijs de Ligt may be put into the XI at centre-back. This game looks to come too soon for Rasmus Hojlund, so Zirkzee may start after his goal, while Alejandro Garnacho should also start ahead of Amad Diallo.
Brighton vs Manchester United Odds
Brighton are priced at 73/49 to win this game, while Manchester United are 33/20 to pick up three points. A draw can be backed at 27/10, over 2.5 goals is 57/100 and BTTS is 51/100.
Over 2.5 goals @ 57/100
This one should feature plenty of goals, given the attacking talent on show. I’m actually minded to stay away from backing a match result in this one, given we haven’t seen much from either side so far this season. Brighton looked promising against Everton, but Ashley Young was sent off in the second half, while Man Utd managed to get the win late on at Old Trafford.
What I think we can expect is goals from both teams. Brighton could have scored four on the opening weekend and Hurzeler clearly likes to play attacking football, while Manchester United have so much attacking talent at their disposal. Garnacho is set to come back into the fold from the start, while Bruno Fernandes squandered two big chances in the first half.
If they both are on top form, over 2.5 goals should come in comfortably.
Yankuba Minteh to score anytime @ 31/10
Minteh was the standout Brighton player in my eyes at Everton. His move from Newcastle this summer appears to have unlocked his potential, and he has been thrust straight into the first-team on the right-wing. His agent confirmed he had not been injured against Everton despite coming off with a knock, and so I’m happy to take advantage of the 31/10 on offer for him to score anytime.
He was a constant threat at the weekend, and up against Dalot playing out of position, he could enjoy a profitable afternoon. I’m also not yet convinced on this Manchester United defence that has potentially two new faces starting in it, so I believe Brighton will find the net at some point. Minteh could be the man.
