Chelsea vs Bournemouth Prediction: Blues to finish with a win

Chelsea enjoyed a midweek win over Brighton to take them within one point of qualifying for the Europa League next season. It’s been quite the turnaround for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who after a dismal season have now won four games in a row to put themselves in pole position to finish sixth.

To finish off what has certainly been a difficult season, Chelsea host Bournemouth, who are aiming to break into the top ten for the first time since 2016/17. Below you can find my Chelsea vs Bournemouth predictions.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

  • Chelsea to score in both halves @ 3/4
  • Bet Builder - Chelsea to win and Cole Palmer and Dominic Solanke to score @ 5/1

Team News

Chelsea are going to be without Reece James after he was shown a straight red card in midweek. He will not only miss this game, but the start of next season as he serves a three-match ban. Cesare Casadei could be given gametime from the bench, but Mauricio Pochettino appears to have settled on his preferred XI.

Bournemouth will welcome back Milos Kerkez from suspension at left-back, which should see Lloyd Kelly return to the centre of defence. Alex Scott, Marcus Tavernier and Tyler Adams may all be given starts as Andoni Iraola looks to finish on a high.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth Match Odds

Chelsea are the favourites to win this game, priced at 47/100, while Bournemouth can be backed at 24/5 for the win. A draw is available at 21/5, BTTS is 21/50 and over 2.5 goals is 29/100.

Chelsea to score in both halves @ 3/4

Chelsea have turned themselves into goalscoring sensations and I fully believe they will go on to win this game. With so much attacking talent in the form of Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and more, goals have been easy to come by of late while I have also stumbled upon an interesting trend.

Chelsea have scored in both halves of their last four Premier League outings. They seem to be able to pose a threat across the entire 90 minutes, no matter the final result, and they’ve scored a whopping 12 goals in their last four games. I believe they will tear Bournemouth apart with ease, in what should be a high-scoring encounter.

Bet Builder - Chelsea to win and Cole Palmer and Dominic Solanke to score @ 5/1

A fun selection from our Bet Builder to finish with here. I think Chelsea will make it five wins in a row, given they now seem to have found their feet under Pochettino. After all the chaos earlier in the season, the young players are beginning to flourish and there is renewed hope ahead of next season. They will be targeting a top four finish next term, but for now, qualification for the Europa League will save what looked like a desperate season around Christmas time.

Cole Palmer is their most likely goalscorer having bagged 22 goals now this season, and although the Golden Boot is going to elude him, this has still been a phenomenal breakout campaign. I also think that Chelsea will concede here, having let in goals in three of their last five matches. Former player Dominic Solanke will have his eyes on a goal at Stamford Bridge, which would take him to 20 goals for the season.
