Chelsea have been inconsistent under the guidance of head coach Enzo Maresca. They have been in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past few days, with most of the stories being around the large number of players they have for this season. With the transfer window closed, Maresca will be looking to put the transfer window drama behind him and focus on performing in the Premier League. His team faces Crystal Palace in an all London affair.

Here are a few markets to consider adding to your bet slip...

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips

Team News

Chelsea have tried to trim their squad down, to the players that Enzo Maresca prefers to use for this season. Deadline day saw the departure of Raheem Sterling to Arsenal. His departure was the latest in a long list of names that were released on a free or sent out on loan. This departure will not affect Maresca's selection going into the weekend.

Crystal Palace lost Joachim Andersen to Fulham and Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this transfer window, however, they have spend the money well. They signed Eddie Nketiah for 29 million Euros and Ismiala Sarr for 15 Million. In addition to that they spent 18 Million Euros on Maxence Lacroix to replace Andersen. Their best signing of the window, is not an actual signing. It is managing to keep Marc Guehi at the club dispite advances from Newcastle and other European Giants.

Chelsea's Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1): Sanchez, Gusto, Fofana, Collwill, Cucurella, Fernandez, Caicedo, Madueke, Palmer, Net, Jackson.

Crystal Palace Predicted Line-up (3-4-2-1): Henderson, Richards, Guehi, Clyne, Munoz, Wharton, Lerma, Mitchell, Kamada, Eze, Mateta.

3 Way - Chelsea 31/50

Despite all the drama around the number of players Chelsea have available this season, they have been able to play their football and secure a decent start to the season. They lost Manchester City on the opening day but recovered well against Wolves last time out winning by 6-2. However, the inconsistencies set in again as they lost by 2-1 against Servette in the UEFA Conference League. As their attention turns back into the Premier League, They will have to capitalise on Crystal Palaces poor run of form.

Palace have lost their first two opening matches to West Ham and Brentford respectively. They did pick up a win midweek against Norwich City in the EFL Cup, but that result is not enough to encourage any confidence in this Crystal Palace side. In addition, the last time they managed to secure a win against Chelsea was in October of 2017. Since then, Chelsea have registered 14 wins in a row against Crystal Palace. You can expect Chelsea to make it 15 wins in a row when they meet this weekend.
