Group F rounds off the group stage of Euro 2024 on Wednesday night and although Portugal have already secured top spot, they will be looking to make it nine points from nine with a win over Georgia. Georgia themselves still have a chance of qualifying, however, they will have to beat this Portugal team to finish on four points, and guarantee themselves a spot in the last 16.

Below you can find my Georgia vs Portugal predictions, with betting tips and team news included.

Georgia vs Portugal Betting Tips

  • Goncalo Ramos to score anytime @ 7/5
  • Under 2.5 goals @ 69/50

Team News

Georgia are likely to name the same XI having got a point against Czechia last time out, while captain Guram Kashia is one yellow away from suspension but will start here. Meanwhile, star man Khvicha Kvaratskheila will start up front and given he hasn’t found the net yet in Germany, will be desperate to get up and running.

Meanwhile, Portugal are set to make wholesale changes with qualification already secured. Rafael Leao is suspended, but expect changes anyway, with the likes of Burno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bernardo Silva likely to be rested.

Georgia predicted starting XI:
Mamardashvili; Kverkveliya, Kashia, Dvali; Kakabadze, Mekvabishvili, Kochorashvili, Tsitaishvili; Davitashvili, Kvaratskhelia; Mikautadze

Portugal predicted starting XI:
Costa; Semedo, A Silva, Dias, Cancelo; Neves, Palhinha; Vitinha, Jota, Felix, Ramos

Georgia vs Portugal Odds

Portugal are the clear favourites for this one, available at 39/100 to win. Meanwhile, Georgia are priced at 32/5, a draw is 21/5 and BTTS is 83/100.

Goncalo Ramos to score anytime @ 7/5

I’m expecting Ronaldo to be rested for this game, which he will surely understand. If he is benched by Roberto Martinez, then impressive striker Goncalo Ramos will start in his place. After a brilliant World Cup in 2022, Ramos displaced Ronaldo from the starting XI, and although that is unlikely to happen this summer, I think he will take advantage of the chance he will be afforded in this game.

Georgia have been good value this tournament from an entertainment perspective, but they are clearly a couple of levels below Portugal in terms of class. Even if Martinez’s changes his whole team, they will have more than enough to win this game. However, I think the value lies in backing Ramos to find the net.

Under 2.5 goals @ 69/50

With the changes that Portugal are going to make, I don’t think they will be as fluid as they were in their big win over Turkey. They scored three in that game and I feel as though Georgia will be a solid defensive outlet, as they try and frustrate the favourites.

Without their usual starters, Martinez’s men may be slightly disjointed, although they still have quality all over the pitch. Given Georgia haven’t set the world alight from an attacking perspective I think this will be a relatively uneventful affair between the best team in Group F, and the worst. Decent value on a low-scoring clash.
