Star player Iqraam Rayners has been linked with a move away from Stellenbosch with a few teams expected to snatch up his signature. Those teams include Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. However, some reports have suggested that Sundowns lead the race for the star man's signature.

Nsingizini finished the league in third last season behind Green Mambas and Mbabane Swallows. Their third place finish was not enough to secure a space in the CAF Confederations Cup, however, they applied to their FA to participate in this competition. According to Eswatini Observer, Hotspurs public relations officer has expressed that their team aims to reach the next stage.
In preparation to play Stellenbosch, Nsingizini have played Richards Bay and Maritzburg United during pre-season to get a feel of how South African soccer is played. Nsingizini is quite a young side to this level of football. They have only played two season in Eswatini's top flight but they have been very impressive. They finished last season's campaign on a high with no losses in their last 14 matches. The last defeat they suffered before going on this impressive run was on the 9th of December 2024 and they lost that match to Green Mamba. They play a very controlled style of soccer. They manage possession well and defensively they are sound.
The one department they are lacking in is the goal scoring department. The two teams above them in the league finished on 40+ goals for the season. in fact, they have the least amount of goals scored in the top six.
Stellenbosch FC, have had a good start to the season with a win in the quarter finals of the MTN 8 against TS Galaxy. They are no doubt the favourites to walk away with a win in this fixture.
