Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City just need to win their final two Premier League matches to be crowned champions for the fourth consecutive season. On Tuesday night, they travel to London to take on Tottenham Hotspur, who could still qualify for the Champions League by finishing in the top four, if other results go their way.

Here are few markets to consider adding to your bet slip...

Tottenham vs Man City Prediction & Tips

  • Man City to win with -1.5 handicap 19/20
  • Josko Gvardiol to score anytime 9/1

Arsenal will be desperate for their North London rivals to do them a favour after they kept their title hopes alive with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday. A slip up for Manchester City on Tuesday night may cost them the league, however, Manchester City is not the type of team to slip up at this point of the season. Especially considering that they have in the past been unstoppable in the final weeks of the season, leading up to the final day. Tottenham Hotspur will be expected to do their cross town rivals a huge favour when they meet Manchester City.

Team News

With Destiny Udogie still out injured, midfielder Oliver Skipp was forced to fill in at left-back for Spurs against Burnley, before being replaced by Ragu Dragusin in the second half. Against City, Dragusin could come into the starting XI, with Giovani Lo Celso and Rodrigo Bentancur also pushing for starts after coming off the bench in the 3-1 win at the weekend. Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson are expected to continue as the front three.

Jack Grealish missed the game at Fulham through illness, but he is expected to return to the squad for this one. Meanwhile Nathan Ake was substituted after just 22 minutes with a serious looking injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season. Expect John Stones or Kyle Walker to start in his place.

Tottenham vs Man City Betting Odds

Tottenham are priced at 26/5 to win this game, with Man City the big favourites at 41/100. A draw can be backed at 23/5, BTTS is 23/50 and over 2.5 goals is 7/25.

Man City to win with -1.5 handicap @ 19/20

Manchester City cannot afford to drop points here, and I don’t think they will. The title will go to the final day even if they win at Spurs, but they will want to put themselves in the strongest possible position heading into that home match with West Ham. They’ve not lost a league game since December and have now won their last seven Premier League matches on the bounce, since that 0-0 stalemate with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

We’ve seen this type of winning run carry them to the title on multiple occasions, and I just cannot see them losing it from this position. I think they will go to Tottenham and beat them comfortably, given Spurs had lost four in a row before they beat Burnley at the weekend. I think Erling Haaland in particular will enjoy himself against a Spurs defence that plays an incredibly high line, and so I’m happy to back a big away win. Man City to win with a -1.5 handicap means a two-goal win of any sort will be enough to win this bet.

Josko Gvardiol to score anytime @ 9/1

The man in red-hot form for City at the moment is defender Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian has been deployed in a far more attacking role of late, moving into midfield and beyond from his left-back role. He scored twice at Fulham at the weekend, the first coming after a superb attacking run into Fulham’s box.

He also notched from a corner, and is a big set piece threat. If Nathan Ake is out and Kyle Walker comes into the team, we can expect him to venture even further forward in a bid to provide City with another attacking option. Having also scored against Nottingham Forest, he’s now scored three goals in his last two away matches, and I think he could find the net again against a leaky Tottenham defence.
