They will look to the experience of head coach Dan Malesela, who is optimistic about making a good start to the season.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach will play his first Premier Soccer League Match. He will find comfort in the fact that Kaizer Chiefs have not lost to Gallants in their last four meetings. Their last meeting came in April of 2023, when Kaizer Chiefs played out to a draw. The concern will be around the clubs current form. They lost to Young African 4-0 in a pre-season friendly and they ended last season with no wins in the last 5 matches. Registering 2 loses and 3 draws to opponents that many would have expected them to win against. However, that was last season and this is now.

Kaizer Chiefs need to win this match. If they fail to win their opening match, to a team that has recently joined the league, questions will be asked about the club, the coaching staff and the leadership. It is still early days, but Kaizer Chiefs fans are not very patient and they will definitely need some convincing. I think their coach will deliver on the opening day and this is why, I have gone with a Kaizer Chiefs win in this match.
